Veelgestelde vragen

While Pilates and yoga share some similarities, they are different disciplines. Pilates places a strong emphasis on proper alignment, core stability, and functional movement. Resistance is often added through springs and elastic bands to build strength in a controlled and supportive way.

No. Flexibility develops naturally over time through regular practice. Pilates focuses on strength, control, and a healthy range of motion, making it accessible for all body types.

Absolutely! We offer group classes that are suitable for beginners, designed to help you feel comfortable, confident, and supported from your very first session. For the best possible start, you can also book a private introductory session.

We recommend practicing Pilates one to three times per week, depending on your overall training routine. Consistency supports long-term results and a stronger mind-body connection. Pilates also complements cardio and strength training very well.

Of course! Asking questions is encouraged. If something is unclear or doesn’t feel right, let your instructor know. We’re here to support you and make sure you feel confident and safe during your practice.

Not at all. Every body is different, and it’s completely normal to modify exercises or take a break when needed. Your instructor will offer variations and options throughout the class. Pilates is about listening to your body, not pushing through pain.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and enables the instructor to clearly see your alignment. We recommend bringing a water bottle and, if you like, a towel. Socks, with or without grip, are optional.

Yes. Our Dutch-speaking instructors are also happy to switch to English upon request.

Your first visit may feel a little overwhelming, and that is completely normal. During a group class, our certified BASI instructors will guide you through a full-body Pilates session tailored to your needs and experience level. You will be introduced to the BASI Systems reformer and learn how it is adjusted to suit your body. Classes follow the BASI Block System, which works all major muscle groups with an emphasis on posture, breathing, control, and efficient movement patterns. In a private session, you will also be introduced to a wider range of equipment, such as the reformer, Cadillac, or F2 Chair, allowing for a much deeper and more precise approach than is possible in a group class.
