The BASI Mat Teacher Training program offers a solid and in-depth foundation in the principles of the Pilates method. Mat work forms the basis of Pilates and requires insight, control, and precision.
During this training, you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the repertoire and learn how to apply it safely and effectively in a range of settings. The programme provides comprehensive training in the BASI mat repertoire and its wide range of applications. For many participants, it’s the first step towards the Comprehensive Program.
The curriculum is internationally standardised and identical for all BASI students worldwide. The training comprises 24 contact hours across six modules, covering theory, practical training and movement analysis.
You should also allow for an average of four hours of self-study per week, alongside completing the certification requirements. If there are not enough enrolments, the programme may be postponed or cancelled.
